Library of the year contest - sponsored by RRLC

Hello everyone,

Once again this year, RRLC will be sponsoring a National Library Week "Library of the Year" contest.

The contest, held during the late February - March time period, asks your patrons to tell us why your library is a "great" library and why they "love your library". Winners (announced during NLW) in each of three categories - school, public, academic/special - receive a $100 gift card, an engraved plaque and a 6' banner to hang in their library.. plus they are our guests and honored at our Annual Meeting in June. We also work with the library to ensure that the media, local funders, and others in NYS are aware of the winning libraries. Last year's winners were: Chili Public Library, Golisano Library at Roberts Wesleyan, and Barclay Elementary School Library.

People will be directed to our website to complete or download an online nomination form. The _number_ of entries doesn't matter as much as the _heart_ that is behind the nomination!

We will have 11 x 17 posters available for any library that would like one. See a sample of the 2011 NLW poster at: http://bit.ly/gvhvFY

Please let us know how many posters you would like for your library. NOTE: digital files will also be available.

Thank you!

Please respond by: Jan. 21.
