Ok Everyone,
we really need more people to go to Albany with us next Tuesday to
protest the latest round of cuts. Gov. Paterson just released his new
proposal which includes cutting another $20 million in library aid from
THIS YEAR'S BUDGET! That means a yearly allocation of $78.5 million,
rather than the $101 million we were promised. It puts us back to 1998
levels.
UNACCEPTABLE!
Please join us on Tuesday! We need to fill up the halls of the
Legislative Office Building and make a lot of noise. The Rally starts at
1pm and should be over by 2pm. We have cars leaving from several
locations around the system, so we can make it pretty convenient for
you. Bring family, friends, neighbors too!
